This recipe’s origins are murky and shrouded in mystery. Some swear that the recipe wrote itself, while others say that a tired and grumpy Noor, a staunch subscriber to the no-food-waste policy, found a novel way to conceal the sour tanginess of her two days-old expired soy yoghurt.
From that moment of desperation and questionable food safety practices; a delicious, creamy, velvety frosting was born of which I have been consuming daily ever since that fateful night (turns out non-expired yoghurt tastes better whodathunkit??).
How to use?
She’s fabulous with waffles, cakes, toast, pancakes and literally anything that you deem acceptable. I have tried this frosting with gherkins and ‘‘twas delicious (this is a judgement-free zone fyi).

Salted Caramel Protein Frosting
Vegan, serves 1
Ingredients
1 heaped tsp of salted caramel vegan* protein powder (I use MyProtein soy isolate - the best!)
3-4 tsp of soy / dairy-free yogurt
sprinkle of cinnamon
Optional: 2 drops of MyProtein Vanilla flavdrops
Method
Mix all the ingredients together
Add more yogurt to thin or more protein powder to thicken.
Notes
Vegan protein is essential here! Whey protein actually makes the yogurt runnier :/
Experiment with different protein powder flavours. My favourite ones are all MyProtein soy isolate variations - natural strawberry is a dream!
I hope you try this recipe! It will change your life
Noor xoxo
