Chai Bubble Tea (in 5 minutes!)

Ingredients

1/4 cup of tapioca pearls

1 chai tea bag (chai masala works best!)

1 1/4 cups of water

1 tbsp of dark brown sugar

2 tbsp of condensed milk

3 ice cubes


Method

  1. Boil the water and add the tapioca pearls. Stir gently.

  2. When the tapioca pearls rise to the top, cover and boil on medium high heat for 2 minutes.

  3. Turn off the heat and let the pearls simmer for 3 minutes.

  4. Rinse and drain under cold water for 20 seconds.

  5. Transfer the pearls to a dry container and stir in the brown sugar.

  6. Meanwhile, prepare the tea according to packet instructions, stir in the condensed milk and sweetener if needed.

  7. Add a ice cubes

  8. In a clear tall glass, spoon in the boba and pour the tea. Make sure you add all the residual brown sugar syrup.

  9. Stir with a long spoon and enjoy !!
